Youth today spend more and more of their time living sedentary lives staring at a screen. This despite studies suggesting that young people should spend at least half an hour each day being active. Developed with child development specialists and experts in education, our teaching methods have been designed to ensure that children learn quickly and retain what they learn. Students learn traditional boxing styles with an emphasis on self-defense, fitness, agility and a good fundamental technique. Our facility does NOT offer any contact boxing classes. Boxing can be an excellent way for your kids to stay active and give them something productive to do after school.

Here are the Top 10 reasons your child should start a boxing program:

Here are the Top 10 reasons your child should start a boxing program:

Kids learn how to set goals for themselves when they box. Their trainer might push to decrease their running time or increase their strength. Accomplishing small goals can make kids feel great. In this sport, kids are shown how to overcome challenges. All progress is noted and rewarded with recognition, and your kids do not have to win a tournament to feel good about achieving goals.

Children who are physically active tend to concentrate better when facing challenges. Boxing is physically demanding and requires intense concentration which can improve your kids’ attention in the classroom and improve academic success.

Boxing teaches a child to think rationally without panicking whenever they are confronted with potentially harmful situations. Fighting skills like hooks, uppercuts, and jabs can help your child defend themselves if they have to. Boxing teaches kids proper techniques that improve footwork and increase awareness and speed. Trainers always ensure kids understand organized fighting and only encourage them to use their skills outside of the ring for self-defense.

Our program promotes good sportsmanship where children learn to respect authority and their peers. Self-respect is instilled early on and is a valuable lesson for kids to learn throughout their life.

Having enough self-confidence doesn’t always come easy Positive affirmations can help to develop better self-esteem. Believing in their abilities sets them up for success, keeps them stay motivated and builds character knowing they can persevere through tough situations. Our students are never compared to others in the program and can train at their own pace.

While boxing is an individual sport, it still gives kids the chance to meet other kids and understand the value of teamwork. They meet kids from different backgrounds and cherish memorable moments.

Boxing is a good sport for kids and provides the child with perseverance, dedication, courage, ability to think tactically, the strength of will and self-control.

Boxing sharpens kids’ problem-solving skills and teaches them about health and fitness. Trainers teach proper form, which prevents injuries.

Typically, when a person is a better athlete, they are a better student. Paying attention during class and participate in our activities will sharpen their skills and expedite the learning process to help improve grades.

Boxing programs challenge the entire body while developing agility, balance, coordination, and poise in the process.
